The Story

Billed as "the first pop art record," 'Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere,' released on May 21, 1965, quickly followed The Who's first single, 'I Can't Explain,' into the UK Top Ten. The release corresponded with a live promotional appearance on ITV's 'Ready Steady Go!,' briefly renamed 'Ready Steady Goes Live!,' and broadcast from 6:08 to 7:00 pm.

'Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere' reached #10 on the UK charts but failed to enter the US Top 100 after its June 5, 1965 release in America.

Hosted by Cathy McGowan and David Goldsmith, this edition of 'Ready Steady Goes Live!' featured the Four Tops, Connie Francis, and Ronnie Jones.
